Today the journey begins. All packed up and ready to go, I reached into my money belt at the check-in counter and realized I left my passport at home on the copy machine.  Oops.  Thanks to my dad literally running out of his office building, driving home, picking up my brother and the passport and the top of the driveway, and taking the express-lanes to the airport I was able to catch my flight.  My flight was 1 hour late anyways, but I did appreciate the hustle.

Next stop, SFO with Amy!

PS: If you are ever in this situation, a color copy will scan into the airline computer just as well as a real passport, but when you hand it to the airline personel at the counter as they print out your baggage tags, they will look at you like you are crazy and explain that you actually need a real passport.
