Flag of Greece  , Ionian Islands,

On our second last day in Corfu we joined the 9am boat tour to Paxos and Antipaxos, two islands to the south of Corfu. Both my brother and aunt had recommended this and we were blessed with a perfect day for it.  The cliffs, caves and bays of Anipaxos are truly out of this world.  The boat captain was exceptionally skilled and able to bring the bow of the boat right into the caves on two different occasions.  We were completely inside the cliff.  The water is so clear around here and you can see all the rock formations under the water.  The multi-lingual tour guide explained all the highlights to us, in Greek, English, Italian, French and German - impressive.  We saw perhaps the prettiest beach and cove on Antipaxos where the boat driver stopped for 30 minutes to allow us all to dive in and swim – bliss.  Pity for the poor folks relaxing on their moored yachts when the peace and quiet was interrupted by all of us!  Then on to Paxos, the slightly bigger island where we stopped to roam for a while in Gaios, the main town.  We tasted the local olive oil for which Paxos is famous and ate lunch at Pan and Theo's based on the recommendation of the tour guide.  We had the roast pork special and yet another Greek salad – we just can’t get enough of it.  Then back to Corfu with some great shots of the old town as the sun was going down.
