The first expression we heard in relation to Dominical was that it inhales surfers, backpackers and do-nothings... This place was already right up our alley! We splurged on an early morning shuttle from San Jose to avoid an 8 hour public bus ride to travel all of about 160KM. Our driver was even nice enough to stop along the way so we could get up close and personal with some Crocodiles. At first we thought he may have been dropping us at a zoo, but we literally stopped before a bridge, walked to the middle and there on a sand flat in the middle of the river were a heap of crocodiles sun baking in the sun. Really random thing, but so so cool.

We stayed in Dominical for 6 nights and as you may have guessed Dave surfed a lot of the days away, whilst I found an awesome Yoga studio and took classes every day. Our Pommy friends James and George managed to find their way to Dominical after a bit of a lost cause trip to Bocas Del Torro, Panama. Round two of a big night out for the boys occurred although, George and I managed to drag them home early this time (Dave has his leave pass when the other Hughes arrives lol).

Dominical was definitely a lovely way to spend the last week of our time in Costa Rica, nice small town with not too many people lurking around. We were also able to finally find some really decent fruit :-)

Not so fun Dominical fact: Dave managed to snap a leash, pop a fin plug and snap a fin resulting in a $95 dint to the budget.... OUCH!!!
