We arrived in Montezuma with an expectation of more than it was... We had visions of a bigger town and nicer beaches but were greeted with hippies, hippies and more hippies. Not that I'm knocking hippies or anything but that's just not really our scene. I don't think the walk from the Hotel to town helped things either. Let me just say 'steepest freakin hill EVER'! On the plus side though, we managed to see heaps of Monkeys, Iguanas and squirrels on the monster walk to the hotel.
We checked out some local waterfalls which were quite lovely. You could swim there which was nice after a 40 minute river hike to get there. Of course Dave ignored the 'don't jump off the falls warning' but thankfully he is still walking. Apart from the waterfalls we didn't particularly have anything else to see in Montezuma and cut our stay by one night.
Next stop, Santa Teresa for Christmas.
