We got back to LAX just after noon, breezed through immigration and customs, had a quick lunch at Swinger's Cafe, and now we're watching the Giants and Packers NFC championship game. GO PACK! It's really great to be home safe and watching football on TV! As much as we love experiencing cultures in other countries, we both do love US culture! It is really nice to be back in wonderful, familiar little city of Santa Monica, and it will be really nice for both of us to get back into our regular jobs and routines, and to get back in touch with our friends and families!

Well, what an AWESOME trip! Definitely my favorite of all the trips we've taken (Dave.) Rappelling through waterfalls in the deep jungle, flying through the canopy on ziplines, staying next to a live volcano, galloping horses through the water at the beach, and surfing warm waters, WOW! We feel very blessed that there were no major mishaps at all. The car did fine, our reservations were all there, each tour we did was really good, etc. And neither of us got sick!
We also got to be in country long enough to get a feel for the people and culture. Very warm, relaxed, welcoming. And man we spoke a LOT of Spanish on this trip, excellent! After awhile, we really started to feel comfortable getting things done in Spanish.
We also had some great discussions on what we like and do not like in our travelling, which helped us both understand what to plan for our future trips! Can't wait for the next one!
