Our last few hours in Plymouth were spent roaming the streets and looking at some of the antique and bookshops dotted around the place. We picked up a couple of books for Rachel and the complete dad's army series on DVD for me. We also wandered into a comic book store for a bit of a look around and ended up listening to the owner who just talked non stop for about 40 minutes about anything and everything.

After leaving him we wandered down to the waterfront and made our way along it. We found a café in what looked like a miniature castle and shared a nachos and milkshake. A bit further along the path we saw views out into the ocean and also a salt-water pool built literally in the ocean, I suppose to provide shelter from waves and sharks and things. Opposite here was a nice park area that walked across to get back to the B&B where we picked up our bags and headed to the train station. We looked at getting a bus but there weren’t any around and we were told it was only about a 10 minute walk. We headed off and our path took us up a slight hill (I was carrying my bag and pulling Rachel’s for her) past the university and a few churches and things. After a little while we realised we were on the wrong road, and so cut back across to where we were supposed to be. We’d probably added about 10minutes to our walk, as well as the hill, but were soon at the station waiting for our train.
