Saying goodbye to the spectacular fjords but still the sites outside of the bus continued to amaze and blow me away. Today included a stop in Lom - which had one of the few remaining medieval stave churches (but also a great place to fulfill the mandatory driving regulation stop) before heading to Lillehammer - the site of the 1994 Winter Olympics. It was/is quite a small town but were we literally here for just a lunch stop.

Just outside of town we headed to the official 94 Winter Olympic bobsled track. Might sound a little stupid to do in summer but they converted a sled to have wheels to go round the concrete track. Clever aye. Well the challenge was on who could be the fastest team down the track. It was absolutely awesome. Pretty much like a rollercoaster without the flips but still the corners you could feel strong G-forces as we got up to speeds of around 100km/h. In the end we scored the silver medal!!

Back on the coach we pulled into Gjovik for the night. Our hotel was conveniently located next door to the club of town. It was very very handy for the short stumble home in the wee hours of the morning (via a dirty kebab store).
