So after 3 days on the salt flats in Bolivia, our driver dropped us off at the Bolivian-Chilean border. We said our goodbyes/thanks and took a bus from there to the nearest town, San Pedro De Atacama. First thing we noticed was pavement, a true blessing. Also things got a whole lot more expensive! San Pedro is a small touristy town in the desert of Northern Chile. Lots to see, eat and drink there! Definitely the most memorable thing about the city is the amount of dogs roaming around the town. These dogs weren't your typical dirty stray dogs though. There was very little fighting, they were all friendly, and they pretty much all wanted to come back to Canada with us! Whenever you were feeling lonely walking around town, you could count on a dog or two to escort you around.
Next we joined our six other friends and took a bus over the Andes mountains and crossed into Argentina! Time for some steak that everyone keeps talking about(for one of us at least)
