I've finally hit the prairie country, after everyone kept telling me how boring the scenery was and that "I had better have a good playlist, because people have gone crazy without music" I didn't find it all that bad. First I expected it to be something like the nullabor, long flat not much to see and few places to stop, however there were small hills, a mixture of open grasslands and a few pond like dams with ducks and other water birds and spanning the entire road were hawks (very similar to Australia, but more lush and a little less harsh). Anyways I continued on hoping that the landscape would change and become flat and lifeless as to what I was expecting, but it didn't.
The road at some parts was very bumpy and uneven, and for the number one highway I thought it was a bit average and on the horizon were dark clouds and a few cracks of lightening. I didn't prefer to drive in those conditions so I made my way for Swift Current, a little sort of my propose destination (Moose Jaw) and from the prior research I had done on what to see at each of the destinations, there wasn't much here for me.
Early next morning I set out for Moose Jaw and the sky was a little better with sun poking through, so this was a good start.
