Last day in Perth so we headed into the city for some retail therapy and to see King's Park.
All three girls had a great time shopping and being part of the Perth Christmas shopping rush. The city is full of contrast with lots of wealth but also examples of poverty with people asking for money or begging. It can be really eye opening sometimes.
The trains into Perth are so clean and efficient. The Perth Underground station is the starting point for all suburban train lines. The buses are very reliable and the drivers really want to help with directions and advice of what to see. There are also CAT buses which are free and run on a continual loop around the city.
After shopping we headed to the WA museum (yes, another museum) to see some more history of WA. It was ok but not as good as Geraldton.
King's Park was fantastic and had garden sections dedicated to different regions of WA. There was an elevated tree walk where we got walk amongst the tree tops. The park is on a hill and gives wonderful views of Perth CBD. Unfortunately, the Naturescape park was closed for maintenance but seeing all the flora made the trip worthwhile.
