A short entry today as the day consisted of mainly driving. We were happy to be heading to Perth and civilisation. It also marked the turning point for the Dimenties because we would be turning East and heading towards Geelong after this stop. The landscape became less arid and was filled with sudden bursts of colour from the emerging wildflowers. In particular one type of tree had wonderful bright orange flowers and its explosion of colour was welcome relief from the recent scenery.
As we approached the outskirts of Perth we turned on Suri (Navman) for the first time in weeks. The rest hadn't worked for her and she was soon leading us up the garden path (towards Kalgoolie actually) so I used Kelli and Google maps to guide us in.
The girls thought Perth looked just like Melbourne because it had sky scrapers and lots of traffic. Our route took us through the Swan Valley and all the wineries.
The caravan park looks great and one of the best so far!
