Chloe and I were picked up at 8.50am ready for a sea kayak adventure on the Indian ocean around Broome. Being October there were only another four people in the group. We paddled around with relative ease listening to our very enthusiastic guides highlight many nature aspects - I felt very eco and green. We spotted three green sea turtles - the first 'wild ones' we have seen and we could almost touch them.
In the afternoon we went for a camel ride at 3.00 pm and luckily the sun was hidden behind some clouds. We thought 30 minutes on a camel would be long enough and we were right. There are three companies in Broome and we went with the original Blue Camels. Emmy and I rode together and the scariest part was when the camel was getting up. You really had to hang on as first the camel stood up, first on their back legs and then on their front ones. The camels seem placid but one decided to bite Kelli on the back leaving a nice red mark and sit down without being told. Every camel has a poop bag attached to their rear so they can go whenever they want and council regulations do not allow camel poo on the beach.
