So for our last full day in Krakow, the Sun disappeared and the real Polish Autumn came out.  Cold and rainy, we went around the Wawel Cathedral, then found the Wawel Chakra.  It's a little known fact, but:

"Hindus believe the chakra is part of a powerful energy field which connects all living things. There are seven points on the surface of the earth where this chakra energy is most concentrated. These points include Jerusalem, Mecca, Rome...and Kraków's Wawel Hill. Look for peaceful people with their eyes closed.  The Wawel administration seems creeped out by all this. They've done what they can to discourage this ritual, but believers still gravitate from far and wide to hug the wall in the castle courtyard. (Just for fun, ask a Wawel tour guide about chakra and watch him squirm — they're forbidden to talk about it.)" (Rick Steves' Europe Website).

You'll have to go there yourself to find out if the energy field has any effect.  Let's just say I felt something, and no it was not a coincidence...

We spent the afternoon doing what any normal person does when faced with the task of spending foreign currency before returning home - drinking and eating.  That pretty much ends the story.  The next day we jumped on the train to the Airport, then jumped on the Plane that took us back to London.

.......

Sorry for the quality of the blog - it's rushed and written a week later.  Go read the 20,000km across Australia one instead, I'm proud of that one.
