So we are back home, in south eastern England.  After basking in the tropical sun and thousand percent humidity of Singapore, we were greeted with a snowstorm in our first few days back in the UK.  Such changes really don't help you adjust to normal life again.

My body clock is well out of sync.  I find myself sitting eating cereals at 3.3am, watching Gavin and Stacy, thinking it's 10 hours later.  I had to get used to my car again - having a bonnet (hood, to our oversea readers) again is strange - the Van didn't have one.

It's nice to eat decent food again though, albeit more expensive than we are used to.  The only positive change made to the country is that petrol prices are 30p cheaper now....but still more than Australia.

We are both back in the game...looking for jobs and a place to call home again.  Sure, we are back at square one again, but I think it was worth it.

But I do find myself thinking constantly...does this have to be the end?  What's stopping me from going off again and doing something?  I've always known that I have one chance in life.  Shit, I have at least three tattoos pretty much saying that!  I know what it's like to be free, to just live life properly.  Do I want to continue on that path?  Sure it would be tough, very rocky and hard, but could it be worth it?

Do I give in, go the career route, get myself a Dog and a family car, and take a two week trip once a year?

What do I do?

The answer is unknown...but stay tuned.

Thanks for reading.  It's appreciated.

Darren.  November 2008.
