We arrived into Tavira mid afternoon and unfortunately we had not managed to out run the weather so we went in search of a warm cafe to escape the torrential rain. We found one on the main square and it had wifi but I don't think the owners realised that laptop batteries only last so long and if they had power outlets available then we would have stayed longer and spent more money. Instead, out of juice we headed back to Scooby to read and make dinner.

13th Tavira

Awoke to sunshine and blue skies – yay!!! We headed to a cafe for a coffee and a Pastel de Nata – a Portuguese custard tart - yum!!! Then continued on to the village market. Kim commented that it looked as though anyone who had extra produce from their backyard veg patch were here to make an extra buck. All stocked up with fresh veg and some local cheese we went back to Scooby and set out for the beach. We hadn’t realised that we needed to get a ferry there and missed the last one before siesta, bugger.
