Where I stayed
In Scooby by Fistral Beach
We made out of the paddock without getting bogged, Phew!! Checked the internet last night and the surf looks like it will be good for the next 2 days. So our mission today is to get me some waves.
So we hug the coast but the swell is not big enough for the spots we pass to get going, so after grabbing a pasty and a croissant to fill the holes in our stomaches we decide that Newquay is the best bet.
We arrive at about 10am and the find a spot with views from the south to north of Fistral beach. The tides just starting to come in and the waves are head high without a breath of wind... bliss!!!
I can't get into my wetsuit quick enough and Kim is content to laze about in the sun 18-20 degrees and not a cloud inthe sky - hard to believe it is mid-october.
Kim found a nice coastal walk to keep her occupied while I was happy as a pig in sh!t scoring waves.
Exhausted we found a spot to park a street or 2 from the beach front to spend the night.
