This was my second time in Rome, so I spent a lot of the time playing tour guide. The great thing with this trip though, is that we made it to the Vatican museum to see the Sistine Chapel. It didn't disappoint, and was definitely the most beautiful work of art that I've seen.
At the hostel we stayed in, there were 6 people in the room and every one of them was Australian! Two of them were sisters from Canberra and because they had a similar travel path to us, we were able to meet up with them in Austria and again in Budapest.
I was really looking forward to going to my favourite gelati place when we were there, but after walking for around 30 minutes to get there, we found out that it was closed on Monday's! I was gutted. In the end, we did visit the Lonely Planet's top pick, but it just wasn't as good.
