While they were in England, my Mum and Sister made some time for a trip across to Paris. We got the bus up to London (always painful - I HATE busses!), and then across to Paris, First Class on the Eurostar Express train.
The Eurostar Express is a wonderful train, and traveling First Class was a real treat! They served us 3 course meals, along with lots of nice French and Australian(!) wine and champagne. Hands down, it was a far better way to travel than flying. I already posted briefly about Paris, so I will just talk about London here.

When we got back to London, my Mum went back to Torquay and my sister and I stayed for an extra two nights. Before she left though, we went for a 'flight' on the London Eye. To be honest, it's a bit of a fizzer, but I'm glad we went on there, anyway.
After my Mum left, London decided to rain and hardly let up for the rest of the time we were there - typical bloody London!! We still managed to do some really great stuff though, including a night at a West End Theatre!

We decided to see Avenue Q, which could best be described as Muppets for grown ups (google it, it's great!) and it was one of the most enjoyable plays I've ever seen! Some notable parts of the play were the muppet sex and the Ernie character, singing to his in the closet Bert that "it's OK to be Gay - but I'm not!"

Despite the rain, London has grown on me somewhat, and I think it's likely I'll end up working there for 3 to 6 months after the end of my Holidays in October.
