I just returned from another trip to Paris, which is easily my favourite city so far and there are very few things I dislike about it. The first time, was while Laura was still travelling with me, and we stayed there for two nights. We did a trip to the Eiffel Tower at night (amazing!!), and spent time walking around the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe and various other places of historical interest. This time, was with my Mum and Sister and we added Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Chateau de Verseilles to the list.
One downside was the pushy tourists, particularly at the Chataeu de Verseilles. I know that there are language barriers there, but elbowing someone out of the way just isn't cool!
The other downside was the junky woman who elbowed me in the side when I was walking past her! She didn't hurt me, but it was very very weird!
I'm going back to Paris later this month to meet up with Jenny, one of my all time favourite people, who is now going to be travelling through Europe with me for around a month. I'll try to extend on my thoughts and impressions of Paris a little more after that visit.
I'll also try to back-fill with an update on my trip to Rome within the next few days, and if I can ever get my notebook on a broadband connection, I'll update with photo's!
