We took a ferry from BA to Colonia, a few hours away. And we slept most of the way. Not a lot else to do really. It was dead comfy though.

On arrival in this tiny leafy little town, we noticed the tranquility of it all straight away - the slow place of life, the no need for rush and we promptly settled into it.

Finding a nice hostal just outside the main area of town we spent the day exploring eating some darn good Chivitoīs - calorific overload of beef steak, topped with fried eggs, bacon and fries. Bloody nice though.

As we decided to hang around in the fab weather, we hired a golf buggy for the day, and took it onto the highway to find our own little private beach and did so with great ease.

Spending the day terrying around in our little buggy, sunning ourselves on the beach and taking in the countryside was cool. Another nice dinner and the other two disappeared back to the hostal to leave me to take the sleepy town by storm. No worries on that note. Apparently I was a little noisy around 3ish when I got back. Although I didnīt even realise there was a bar open that late so maybe I left around midnight and wandered slowly back. Who knows? Certainly not me. My head told me I had fun though. I do recall hooking up with a group of builders, in town on a contract and going to see some karaoke. I just hope I didnīt join in. Mmmm...

Another slow start and chillin day before moving onto the capital the next day, Montevideo.

One of the best sunsets Iīve seen in Colonia. Go see it.
