Today has been really really crappy.
at least snow is kind of fun. It has been raining non-stop all day here, and it was raining on and off yestrerday too. I am completely soaked, and am out of clean shirts to wear. Not only that but in my mission to pack as light as possible I decided not to bring any kind of rain jacket. "It only rains one day on average in february" the guidebook says, well i guess that is not the case this month. And, oh yeah, I ended up losing that guidebook 5 days in to my trip. So now do I not only not have a windbreaker, but there are none in any stores, because obviously with ten thoudsand people on this island they got snapped up pretty quick. Blah. Plus I am ready to leave Koh Phangan, i am partied out and I feel like I've seen most of what there is to see here. But I came for the full moon party, so I might as well stay.
Anyway, it isnt all fun and games here, but at least the rain should drown out the sound of the booming techno when I try and go to sleep tonight.

buried alive
Hey, sorry to hear the weather's so nasty. We got a ton of snow in New York over the weekend... They measured almost 27 inches in Central Park. I got a bit snowed into my apartment Sunday morning (that would be the problem with a basement place) but a neighbor loaned me a shovel to dig myself out.

Don't worry, they probably weren't trying to kill you with that hole, just trying to trap you for a bit...

Keep the photos coming...

Pete

Dan, I got your blog site from Brenda and have enjoyed traveling through your eyes. The pictures are great and they make me want to dust off my travel duds. As one traveler to another having spent 3 months in Europe, there will be days like these. Our motto was 'Always expect the unexpected'. That way you aren't surprised. Enjoy your adventures and keep on trekking.
