I can't believe that I am going to be on a flight to Bangkok (17 hours no less) four days from now. I have been so busy tying up loose ends, and believe me there is TONS of stuff to take care of, that I haven't really been able to put the whole trip in perspective. I mean three months months on my own (with the exception of a ten day visit by Mel of course) in Southeast Asia will certainly be an eye opening experience for me. Even though I have done a lot of research I still feel like I have no idea what things will be like, as far as the sights and sounds and the cultural differences, but in reality that is what I am looking forward to the most, just being in a part of the world that is completely foreign to me, and just taking it all in. Either way I am sure it is going to be quite an adventure.
And oh yeah, if you plan on reading this blog on a regularly basis you are going to have to get used to some reeeaaaaaaaaaally long sentences, and some "creative" grammar ;)

Sounds like an exciting trip, and you're almost done now. I'll be in Amsterdam 8 days from today. Hopefully I make it back alive and then we'll hang out during Reunion weekend.
