After waking up at 8am from our sleep, felt a bit groggy as car sleeping not the best idea. Went for a meatball marinara subway then went to check in at the hostel, the hostel was very basic as expected but internet connection didn't seem to work so we headed to the library in order to find out about where we would stop in LA and how to get there. Eventually we decided, due to the high prices, to shop around when we arrive to try and get a late deal. Got on the bus and then the train in order to get to the Mexican border crossing, had a McDonald's and then walked across the bridge to one of the craziest cities I have been to.

You are bombarded about getting a taxi and going into shops as soon as you walk out on to the main road, we ignored them all but it was non-stop until we got to a large opening. We realised we stuck out like a saw thumb so were prime targets, decided on taking a break and having a drink due to the heat and hassling, surprised to find the drinks dirt cheap and without a catch. 6 bottles of corona for $2.50.  Made the trip worthwhile, had another 6 between the 5 of us then walked further until we got to the downtown area with bigger shops. It was still a dive and nothing of any interest to buy so we headed back from where we came. A guy who twice hassled earlier was there again and we felt we had to go for another drink and George and Dan were pretty hungry so they had some Mexican food. Got to pick some music for the jukebox, Dan opted for RnB so got a bit of 50 cent and Usher on and had more coronas. Getting back in to USA was where the trip got interesting, after queuing for 30 minutes all of us got through border patrol apart from Won Beom, the guy from Korea. Having waited for 1 hour and talking to him on the phone we realised it was going to go on a lot longer. George and Matthew decided to go back as we were going to meet up with some of the other guys who had come to San Diego via LA. Me and Dan waited for another 2 hours, still no sign of him so after a few text message exchanges we decided to head back to the hostel too. Won Beom eventually made it through and had to catch the train and bus on his own back to the Ocean Beach Hostel.

The other guys were soon at the hostel and with a few beers left from the other day drank them and hung around the hostel. Apparently there was a house party going on but the details of it were sketch and we didn't know San Diego too well so decided to chill out around the beach. Not a lot going on down there so headed back up a strip of bars and clubs, as not everyone was 21 didn't go in anywhere. We did manage to find this ice cream van selling free fish tacos in order to advertise the launch of new film "The Virginity Hit". After the free food it was getting pretty late and we wanted a full day to explore San Diego the next day, so after seeing the others off in a taxi we all headed to the Hostel apart from Won Beom who slept in the car as there was no extra space in Hostel due to it being Labour Weekend.
