Howdy folks,

I promised Patrick that we would catch up on Saturday so after we spent a few hours cleaning up Oliver's apartment, we headed over to pick him up. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and it was raining on and off, but we decided to take a look at Neckargemünd anyway. I first came here when we picked up Kiran to go to Stuttgart and thought the tiny little Altstadt was worth another look.

We drove along the Neckar River from Heidelberg upstream to Neckargemünd which is the next village along. We found a premium place to park at a costly 30 cents per hour and went spazieren gehen oder Stadtbummel. The Altstadt is typical of these tiny little German villages except this one was mostly empty. It seems that most of the business' and restaurants are outside the restrictive narrow streets. Nevertheless we took a look in the church which was built at the turn of last century and the Stadttor.

After we were finished we had not even taken an hour! We decided to head back to the car and grab a coffee at McDonalds in Heidelberg. Steffie's cappuccino was as big as a soup and my 1€ burger was smaller! They even had an American style diner a stone's throw away, but it was too busy to take a look at.

With school finished and the job hunt back on, I've been spending every day at home studying and had a job interview in Schwetzingen on Tuesday. The weather has been really nice hitting 25 degrees and all of the blossoms look really great. I haven't had a chance to go around and look at all of them, but the tulips, poppies and daffodils sprouting up are looking really good.

We definitely have Frisbee weather now!
