Howdy folks,

If I could describe the last few days it would be stressful. It isn't very often that you have to cross the border, throw out most of your possessions, sell a car and book 3 weeks holidays in such a short time. But that's what we did and this is how we did it!

We were pretty organised when we woke up at 7am and we took the car to get a complete clean and oil change. It didn't take so long although the weather looked like it would rain anyway. By noon we had checked out, driven through town and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge into Canada. The bridge is the closest crossing to the falls themselves and it was hard to describe the feeling of being back in Canada again. It wasn't something we ever planned, but it was good to see Niagara Falls again. Coming to Canada is almost like coming back home.

We walked along the falls for an hour before checking into our hotel and setting ourselves up for selling the car. We had one guy come to take the car for a test drive in the evening and he gave us an offer which we said we would consider. After such a hectic day we were happy just to relax for the evening so we headed across the road for a beer.

In the morning, we didn't have a whole lot to do but figure out what to do with all our camping gear. I rang back the guy and accepted his offer for the car and we throught about doing a car boot sale or pawning our camping gear. In the end, we ended up just donating it all to charity even though we had spent at least $400 on it. We weren't in the position to hold onto it any longer.

We spent the rest of the day accessing our options and waiting for the guy to call us back. Around 6pm, he called and we drove down to meet him at his business and complete the transaction. Half an hour later, he drove us back to our motel and that was it. Last time El Dodgy was in our sights and the roadtrip was officially over. It was getting late so we had a pub meal and crashed into bed.

Today we had to organise the rest of our time and work out how to get down to Miami by 14th October. We booked our flight and rental car and banked the money. We had a nice walk down the street and checked out the outlet shops although the only thing people care about at the moment is the iPhone. I feel a lot of people are going to be pissed off with the new one not having the same connection as the old ones.

There is an Indian cafe/restaurant attached to the lobby of the hotel we are staying at and we decided to go there for dinner. It seemed to be a bit dodgy because we were the only ones sitting there and the bartender was also the waiter and cook! But the meal turned out to be good enough and the mango lassi was delicious.

Tomorrow the new era begins!
