Howdy folks,

I didn't get around to writing my blog last week due to the New Years shenanigans plus I've got a bit of a cold at the moment, so I don't have any motivation to do anything but sit on the couch.

On 30th December, Steffie and I didn't have much to do so we decided to check out the Buffalo Nations Museum which I hadn't been into before. The weather here has been quite mild of late hovering around -5 degrees and above which is usually below -10 degrees Celsius. Even so it was nice to do an indoor activity so we walked into town and across the Bow River Bridge to the museum. The museum is inside giant wooden palisade walls and one of the exit pipes had completely frozen over which looked cool. Inside it seemed much larger than the outside presented itself and there were many native displays and stuffed animals. It was quite interesting walking around the exhibits and getting a feel of traditional, first nations life. On the way back we walked across the frozen river which was quite stable and didn't feel very unusual at all!

On 31st December, we had a big Nova Scotia New Years Eve Party at Cougar Street. Basically that meant that at 9pm (midnight on the east coast) we counted down to the New Year because Dave and I had to go to work that night! We had plenty of food so nobody went hungry and it was a pretty good party. That night at work was hectic to say the least. It didn't really calm down until 5am and I had to deal with all matter of phone calls and unusual situations. I was pretty happy to get off work in the morning and ended up sleeping for 10 hours.

HAPPY 2012 everyone!

Hi Danniel,
sounds like you had a good time with your friends, from the start of your trip to canada, it would seems that you have been there almost a year. Have you plans for staying longer in canada, it seems like a not to bad a place to live
the advantage is that you are so close to so much. even to visiting th US any way I wish you all the best.
