Where I stayed
My last day in New Zealand was probably one of the most boring days I've ever had. After fresh bread for breakfast and getting myself ready for checkout at 10am I had nothing else to do until I boarded the plane at 7:30pm. I went for a bicycle ride around Christchurch, but the city centre was still closed so I ended up just doing a lap around the blocked off section. There were cracks everywhere in the pavement along with fallen down brickwalls and busted houses everywhere. I ended up having lunch at McDonalds and then heading back to the hostel.
I got a lift to the airport at 3pm and wasted the next 4 hours reading and making expensive phone calls. The flight to Auckland took just over an hour and after clearing customs I had an hour before I jumped on a 747 to Los Angeles. The plane itself was pretty full and we took off at 11pm although it took a while for me to fall asleep. After 12 hours of flying through the darkness of night and the nnext morning I arrived at 2pm LA Time - before I had even gotten to Christchurch airport (after passing the International Dateline). LAX customs was interesting and for a second I thought the Customs Officer was going to fall asleep, but I passed through and even my bags arrived with me.
I took the shuttle out to USA Hostel in Hollywood and went for a walk up and down Hollywood Boulevard which was pretty busy. This morning I had a very American Day as I took a Hollywood Sights tour, wax museum and McDonalds for lunch. After a hike up through the Runyon Canyon this afternoon I'm just about ready for the BBQ dinner tonght! Tomorrow - Universal Studios!

Comments
And I guess the essential question is: which McDonald's lunch tasted better?
Is malt liquor readily available? Gangsta rappers have educated me to believe it is. Drink a forty for me, preferably on Crenshaw, or otherwise in the comfort of your hostel. Document the ocassion with a photo, for me.
Don't forget to have a root beer and order some eggs over easy. tee hee
I think I can answer that McDonald's question, Tyson: TAIWANESE BETTER!! :P
