I finished up at work on Friday with a nice 2 hour lunch and a few gifts and nibbles in the evening followed by a couple of drinks. It was really nice catching up with everyone and having a proper send off. I was quite touched by what people wrote in my card and all the well wishes that I received.

On Saturday I managed a hike up Mt Lofty with Leonie followed by an afternoon of sorting out my gear and throwing out old newspapers etc to make more room in the shed. Ben and Erich made an appearance which was also nice. Dinner was at The Union Hotel with Tom and Jo with a few drinks thrown in for good measure.

On Sunday, Victoria and I hiked Mt Lofty soon to be followed by lunch at Enid's house.

I'm feeling confident and I'm glad that everything has run its course as expected so far.
