Where I stayed
Wimpy for breakfast in Swakopmund.
Passed by the Himba tribe and didn't stop. Bummer. But, got to see the Herero tribe which is a decendent of the Himba tribe with wide hats and clothed from the Dutch influence. Since the Himba are nomadic, I still have a chance to see them in the north. Twyfelfontein rock engravings in the reddish brown sandstone of Damaraland by the bushman. Saw a female lurid lizard with a yellow head. Engravings of elephants, zebras, giraffes, penguins, kudu, seals, ostrich, black and white rhino, and the most famous, the lion man that was a shawman. Broke down on the side of the road. Chicken stew with rice and salad for dinner. It's very windy here at Aba Huab Camp. Some of the Damara people came over to the camp to sing. Everyone with a huge smile. Very touching. We ended up dancing with them around the fire.
