In Taupo it seemed as if i am having my own rainy clouds following me. as soon as i was about to do some outdoor activities it started to rain. well this is obviously something i finally have to get used to... the two days i spend in taupo were pretty relaxed, a bit of walking around and seeing the hauka falls and get to know the city. the energy saved was well invested in some evening activities with the other people that followed from rotura. there were two germans, one from uk, one from sydney and one from califoria. we enjoyed bbqs as dinner and followed an recommendation of the lonely planned. a place called holy cow, absolutely heaving after 11pm. well they were right and we had good fun indeed. as this was not enough we decided to go for a skydive the next day. pretty exiting, although we never managed to jump out of the plane. dressed and ready to do something crazy we were about to enter the plane when the pilot decided to cancel it due to the clouds arising on the horizon. a big disappointment!!! but we have pictures at least and in case you don't tell anyone i can still pretend to have jumped out of an airplane...
