The Land Rover crew - now in four sharing the shrinking space inside Monty: Claire, Ada, Ale the dancer and I - finally leaves Casa Banderas in the early afternoon, and we start what will turn out to be a very long day on the road. We wanna arrive at the entrance of the Boom Festival site by nightfall, so that we can start to queue before the gates officially open tomorrow.

We join the already long queue at around 1am, have a quick nap in the back of the Landy, and when I look outside the windscreen in the morning, I can see a long procession of cars, campers, trucks, people from every corner of the world, already having a good time even if the festival actually starts only tomorrow...still a long way to go before we can allow ourselves some serious dancing.

Nonetheless, everyone is barely able to hold back the impatience that by now is growing as fast as the Portuguese sun is rising on the horizon on our left.

We've been on the road since a week ago today, it still doesn't feel real that Claire and I have actually left London for good...and there is still a whole month and a half before we'll enter Italy and take the car at my parents' house for a little rest.
