Jeremy, Stacy, Pote and I drove up to Pote's grandparents' place in Khao Yai. It's okay. They're building a giant man-made waterfall from the mountains down to their property with hundreds of truck loads of boulders. And they have a small-scale Golden Gate Bridge. We drove a golf cart around their couple-hundred-acre estate. I'm probably going to pick me up one of those.
From there, Pote's grandparents took us to lunch. I had alligator and some other exotic meat I can't remember now. Gazelle or something. It's the kind of game you only get to eat when they're culling at a nearby wildlife preserve.
Then we went to some falls and hung out there for a while. Jeremy was shamed by the dozens of bronzed and toned Thais playing in the water, so he wouldn't bring out his Texas-sized beer belly for everyone's viewing pleasure. So I had to swim alone.
After that, we headed back to Bangkok. It wasn't an action-packed day, but we had a good time. It's all about the company.
