Our last day in Angkor was a very long one. We saw both sunrise and sunset at Angkor Wat, still looking for that perfect view. I don't know that we ever found it, but we found more than enough stunning vistas to make the trip worthwhile.
I've waited too long to post this, and I dont' have the words to describe it all. So I'll have to let the photos do that for me. Have a look, and see if you don't agree that this place is simply incredible. For archaeologist, Angkor rivals the pyramids of Egypt in impressiveness. I haven't made it to Giza yet, but I can't imagine that they'll have this sort of grandeur. Angkor Wat is my favorite archaeological site. That doesn't mean Tikal, Machu Picchu, Palenque, Copan, Pompeii, and the whole of Rome aren't stunning. But Angkor Wat is like nothing else. I don't know what else to say.
