We took a boat back from My Son. It's always nice to see river life. The fishing and casting of nets by hand is visually stunning and humbling. Watching how people eek out a living is one more opportunity to appreciate what you have. Toiling hours in the sun for a few tiny fish makes telemarketing look appealing. Look at the photos. The lines in their faces trace a path of a life lived with hardship. And the woman has chewed a fair amount of tobacco. We all find a way to make it through the day.

Dark teeth
Actually, the teeth are black because of an old fashion process to envelop the teeth in some residue. This was THE WAY to avoid getting cavities in the olden days. Definitely not a brite smile, but it sure beath losing your teeth like the husband's. You would only see this on some old ladies.
