The market area isn't spectacular. It's busy, but the whole city is hectic. There weren't any incredibly exotic goods. It's mostly dishes, dresses, shoes, and brand name jeans for low prices courtesy of Vietnam's proximity to China. Some people we met said they saw a meat vendor selling dog, but we missed that. It doesn't surprise me that it's there, but it would be interesting to see it. The market is just more chaos and commerce in Hanoi.
