The day before put us off a further venture into the heart of LA, so we decided to leave the Hollywood sign and Walk of Fame until later in the trip and got on the road to our next stop which is San Diego.

Due to the extended and unplanned trip around town the day before, the petrol gauge began to get pretty low about half way to San Diego. So we pulled off at the next Freeway exit and headed for the nearest gas (sorry petrol) station. There was no information in the car about what sort of fuel it took, so we took a guess at unleaded. Considering myself a man of the world, I didn't think it would be too much trouble to fill up. However no matter what I did, I couldn't get the pump to dispense any fuel. After a few well aimed curse words at the pump, I had to go into the garage and ask the man behind the counter. Putting on my best "I'm a stupid tourist, please help" act worked and he very kindly came out and explained you had to pay for the fuel before it would let you have any.

The rest of the journey passed without event until San Diego. First impressions are that the place looks much nicer than Los Angeles and it certainly looks far less grumpy and actually has buildings that are less than 10 years old. The next couple of days are going to be spent exploring it and hopefully with far less time in the car.

Brightened My Day
Hi Daniel,

Having had rubbish journey's to Luton all week it was good to read someone else has been battling with traffic. Mind you I'd swap the M1 for LA any day!!

It was Grant Kenward's leaving do last night so supply chain is pretty hung over this morning! Not sure if Richard Walker will get a leaving do as he's on 'garden leave'.

Look forward to the next update. Get those photos uploaded too!!

Hey Travellers

Glad you arrived safely Bro.

L.A. San Diego....give me some escapism, I'm in freezing cold Bristol and all I get is some petrol update....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

C'mon Dan, must try harder. Ok, let me think of some constructive criticism...well written, personality shines through, a little humour here and there but no mention of the seedy clubs, Hollywood's favourite faces and what radio station you are listening to...?

All the best
