Where I stayed
Breakfast at the resort is wonderful!! There is so much to choose from and they have a lady who makes omelettes for you. We went over to the grand section to book a trip for the next day. The grand section is pretty. They have these canopy beds you can lay in. But really I don't think it is too different from our section. Maybe they just have better food.
We went to the atm and then to buy some water. There are plenty of stores around our resort. I also bought sunglasses because I realized I brought broken ones to Mexico.
We layed out by our pool. The events for the day there were Bingo and Music Trivia. Both were really fun. The guys that work at the resort are super cool and really funny. But the whole time it was pretty cloudy and we were not getting a tan. So we decided to just go to the Malecon (the boardwalk in the town)
Puerto Vallarta's downtown is super cute! There is so much art and sculptures everywhere. There is a beautiful church at the start of the Malecon also. And of course there are palm trees and cool restaurants everywhere. So we wandered around for a few hours. We then ended up at a bar facing the Bay called the Cheeky Monkey. They had $1 margaritas. So margarita + sunset = great evening! We ended up walking home, which took about 25 minutes. For the most part it feels safe. We got into an area that was kinda dark and non touristy but it was fine. Taxis tried to take us home but we had it. My favorite was when one taxi driver said, "You need a taxi?...A Mexican boyfriend?" hahaha it was hilarious.
When we got back we got ready and went out with our new Mexican friends from the hotel and our new friends from the Midwest. We went to a club called Glam, located on the Malecon. It was a really fun club! It is all open and faces the Bay. Great nightlife in PV!
