Where I stayed
The day began by going off to Buda Castle or the Royal Palace. It was up on a hill, just like everything else around here. It was rather large.
But I think the thing that was more interesting was Fisherman's Bastion. It was a bunch of castle towers overlooking the city. It's supposed to be known as the most romantic part of the city. It really was nice.
We then got lost trying to find the Labrinths of the Buda Castle. The entrance to it was dark with just a few lights and we did not know what to expect. There was also some creepy music playing. Well the first one was just the banging of drums. We were walking around and bouncing around to the drums. The whole time we thought something was going to jump out at us. Each room had different music. There was one called the Labrinth of Courage and it was just pitch black. The point was to find the sun, which was located somewhere at the other end.
On our way out there was a big market happening on chain bridge. And guess what they had?! Those Hungarian potato pancakes...they were called Bulangylangos. But I think the reason we had problems finding them was that they aren't truly Hungarian. There was some story to them but I forgot :(
Next we wanted to go see St. Stephen's mummified hand at St. Stephen's Basillica. Unfortunately there was a marriage occuring and we could not get through.
We went to pick up our stuff from the hostel in the evening and back to the train station. Off to Krakow. We met some people from Wales so we all talked for a while. We were at the third tier of the bunks up high.
