so i arrived via small plane today into Rurrenbaque. This is a really small town that is basically a jump-off for jungle trips which are offered everywhere. The day started great, caught a ride on the back of a motorcycle, found the airlines to check in the returrn flight, confirmed my tour, and then found a really cute room to myself for about $5. decided to take a little nap and hve beem very very sick ever since. I basically spent all day in bed, intermitabtly sleeping and choking back naseau.. i cannotg figure out what it could be since i didnīt even eat anything when it started. Although i started to gt bug bites yesterday at the end of the ride it couldnīt be yellow fever (vacination), malaria (not rainy season and not within a couple of hundred miles), dengue (same). It is really really hot and humid here which is the direct opposit eof what iīve been in for almost 2 weeks. Could i have gotten heat stroke in the 30 minutes it took me to run errands? could I have oxygen poisoning from descending 12000 ft in 30 minutes? I haventr really been in humidity in years

I finally drug myself out of bed in the afternoon, had pizza (thinking daity might bind up my stomach) and yogurt and went back and slept for another 3 hours. drinking lots of water and everything is staying down and in.. mysterious. If I feel this bad tomorrow, iīm not sure I can do this trip. cross your fingers

NOTE: I walked around endlessly today to try and change a small amount of US currency since I dont want to take a big withdrawl fo Bolivianos sine they will be difficult to change later. And despite the fact the Biolivian money soooo torn up, literally iīve had bills that were taped 2 and 3 times, no one will accept either of 2 20īs i have because each has a literally 1mm tear. so frustrating... not sure at this point how i will pay my hotel or entrance fee to the national park...
