The bus was with the same company and was exactly the same as the insanely hot bus we caught yesterday, so we were fully prepared for the journey with the least amount of clothes on possible, lots of water and sat as near to the feeble air con unit at the front of the bus as we could. As we pulled off from Chiquila the driver switched on the air con. It was so cold and so powerful and blasting out of the unit for the entire 4 hour journey, and by the time we pulled into Chetumal we were frozen.

When we arrived in Chetumal we traipsed around looking for the second class bus station which we eventually found and decided to take one of these cheaper, Belizean buses across the border instead of the pricier first class versions from the main terminal up the road. We then went on to have a great last night in Mexico...saw a very random and brilliant mexican gay pride parade, splashed out big time on a pizza in a proper restaurant and a couple of beers, and bought a dodgy copy of Eclipse on the way home for a quid to watch on the laptop (bargain and a good copy too except the occasional blip when someone selfishly walks in front of whoever is filming this illegally from the back of the cinema!!).
