We went down to Fisherman's Wharf, which feels like Blackpool seafront. Apart from the fact that the wild is cold, the shops all along there is full of tat and neon lights.
We also went to 'The World's Most Crookedest Street', which supposedly featured in Mrs Doubtfire, but is a brick-paved and very windy street at the top of Nob Hill. The traffic was queuing for about 200 yards just to drive down it. It would have been cool to drive down but I think that the campervan would have caused havoc!
We had to wait around at Fisherman's Wharf for about 3 hours to catch the Hop-on Hop-off bus to the Golden Gate Bridge. Going across the bridge was brilliant, and it is quite long.
On our way back from the bus, we were walking along the street as we heard a loud crash. I thought that it was a piece of masonry falling from the building but Hattie pointed out to me that it was a TV, and it had only just missed a man's head. We looked up to hear a woman screaming and then throwing tupperware, forks and plates (it looked like she was really struggling to find anything to throw out of the window). People were just stood to see what was happening and about 20 people were stood outside the doorway of our hotel watching.
