The first night we got here, it was already dark and we'd been lost more than a few times. I hadn't got the hang properly of the American lane system and Hattie hadn't quite got the hang of map-reading. We were a little bit stressed already for the traumatic day we had had picking up the campervan.
The first night we had a highly exciting tea of cereal and crisps because we couldn't figure out why the microwave oven wouldn't work. In the morning, I discovered it was because I hadn't swithced the electric on in the box.
So we had a couple of days not doing a lot, relaxing with a few beers and enjoying the warmer weather.
