Dresden itself was impressive in the simple fact that it had been 80% destroyed in the second world war and yet many of the buildings now look as if they have stood for hundreds of years.

the best part of this stay was actully outside of dresden on the czech border in an area called saxon bohemia with amazing rock formations, mountains, castles and a good few germans out with their nordic walking sticks.
