Where I stayed
Aunt Pami & Uncle Mark's house

Flag of United States  , Missouri
Friday, July 16, 2010

We made it!  All the way to Missouri this morning!  We got to Aunt Pami & Uncle Mark's house around 9:30 - about coffee time for them!   It's so good to see her after 17 years!!

Would you know - they've got 2 big doggies!!   Oh joy!  The kids are just lovin' it!  Hunter is a one year old yellow lab and Abby is a 2 1/2 year old shepard/collie.  And, of course, Aunt Pam has her two cats - Spooky, a siamiese, and Sebastian a long hair siamese & something else.  The kids are having a blast with them.

We talked Pam into going to Busch Stadium with us to watch the Dodgers VS Cardinal's baseball game!   She never goes into the big city of St. Louis (like we avoid going into Downtown LA at all costs!) and she was glad she didn't have to drive.  We got their early, ate hotdogs and had to get the soft serve ice cream in little red hats.  We wore our Dodger t-shirts!  Got some looks!  Ben wore his own Cardinals t-shirt.  People must have wondered when Damico played for St. Louis!

Well, LA did their best, but they left too many people on base and we lost.  Final score was 4 - 8.  At least we wouldn't get chased out of town....The Cardinals hit a homerun and they set off fireworks - really cool!  The St. Louis Gateway Arch was just down the  street.  So neat!

I'm already shedding my Canadian accent, eh, and trading it for a midwestern one, ya'll!

We just passed a sign sponsored by Noodlers Annonymous....had to google it.  Do you know that here in Paris, MO, where we are passing through, these guys catch 50 pound catfish with their bare hands?  It's illegal, so they are "annonymous"!  They are trying to legalize handfishing......learn sumthin' new every day!
