I think we wore the kids out somehow today!

Celeste and Cynthia played the piano for us and taught the kids how to dance a traditional Canadian dance!  Even got Phil to dance!  It was hard to say good bye to them!  Celeste is going back home and Cynthia would be going out of town before we would get back.  The kids really became attached to their new found cousins!

We took Aunt Pat and cousin Brian to the go-cart racetrack with us.  They cheered us on as we chased each other around in circles, smiling all the way!  We haven't driven racecarts before - the kids had a blast!  Katrina rode with me.  She wanted to steer, so I let her.  She kept turning us into the side rails, so yeah, I'd scream!  Which of course made her laugh.  And Phil too.  So entertaining.  If I had some mirrors, I'd have won...

Afterwards, we let them play at the arcade.  Even Brian played some skeet ball!  The kids got to trade their tickets in for little junk & candy - oh happy kids.

Aunt Pat bought them a big cookie and had a candle for each kids' birthday.  She even sang 'happy birthday' to them in Polish!  We sang three times to celebrate each ones birthday that she's miss this year!  The cookie was so yummy with a glass of milk.  Ben fell asleep on the couch.   We had to say good bye then.  Lots of hugs and pictures!  We were off to Aunt (cousin) Christine's & Uncle Walter's for dinner.

They took us to a fantastic Chinese food buffet!  So much to eat!  Yes, we pigged out.  How could you not?  We went back to their house afterward.  To play some cards, of course.  Even Uncle Walter played some rummy with us.  They've got different rules - it was fun to learn.  Should have played for money....   Katrina talked us into playing Kings in the Corner with GIGANTIC cards.  I wish I'd have gotten a picture of those!  The kids were falling asleep by 10:00.  So more sad goodbyes and more pictures (I will only post the good ones, Aunt Christine, I promise!)

So back across the border we went.  It's so intense passing through customs each day!  They ask so many questions!  And they are not asking for conversation (remember that, Phil!) "Where are you from?  Are these your children? (can we deny that?!)  Do you have any firearms or weapons with you?  Did you buy anything that you are bringing into Canada with you? How did you get 7 weeks of vacation?  May I have your registration?  Why doesn't your licence plate match your registration?"  (Uhhhh......good question!!!)  Yikes!  That's another problem we will be addressing when we get back home!  It's off by one number!
