Where I stayed
Today, we made it the whole day through!
We drove 30 minutes to a subway station. Then another hour on the subway.
We walked the Freedom Trail! They painted a red line all around town for us to find all the historical places. (If we did that in LA, we'd lose half our tourists!)
We saw Paul Revere's house, the Old State House where they read the Constitution for the first time in Boston in July of 1776, the Boston Massacare site, Fanuile Hall where they drew up the plan for the Boston Tea Party. We crossed the bridge over the Charleston River to go see the USS Constitution and the USS Cassin Young WWII destroyer.
And it was about 100 degrees!!! In the destroyer, it had to be 110. Seriously. Phil & I kept telling the kids we'd stop for ice cream soon! Next stop! I promise! And more water!
We ate dinner at the Charter House. Had to have a crab cake and clam chowder! YUM! The girls enjoyed prime rib on the kids menu. Didn't have any grilled cheese for Ben, so he went with the chicken fingers. The scallops & short ribs & applejack seabass we delicious! Are you hungry yet??
I am typing this as we are almost getting to Canada! We are so excited!
Just to let you know, we will have roaming charges if we use our phones, but texting is still free, outside of the country. I'm getting our passports ready to use!
