I traveled to Thredbo (in a mazda convertible no less!) with some friends and climbed Mount Kosciusko. We stopped in at the Brumbie Distillery en route where we sampled different flavours of schnapps including peach, butterscotch, pear, mango...yum! When we arrived at Thredbo (ski resort) we unpacked and headed to the pub to watch the rugby. It was another agonising loss for the Brumbies as they conceeded a try in the last thirty seconds :( On the Saturday it was pouring with rain so we settled for a lazy day at the lodge. We had loads of room in the lodge as we were the only people staying. I made the most of the comfy sofa space to have a 'nana nap'...or two! In the afternoon we were semi-active and went to the pool for a swim and to try 'mission inflatable' an inflatable obstactle course. My attempt was a pathetic 3 metres-ish before I fell off head first. Sadly they deflated it before I could improve my performance. On the Sunday we had a successful ascent to the summit of Mount Kozzie although took the chair lift ('chair-wift' Max 2007) half way. Later in the afternoon we tried the bob sled which was awesome! Then it was time to pack up and go home...again in the mazda convertible! Talk about travelling in style!
