welly well...look whos back. yeah is me, so bow down...clappady clap...and read on in awe.so. whats up huh? i am on my fifth bottle of red powerade this morning, so you might say i have a bit of a hangy o, which has been a bit of a theme these last two weeks. im in costa rica doing my second volunteering projecto by building houses, which has been awesome, except that about fifty percent of the mornings i am recovering from a rather heavy session with my now best friend, and worst enemy Guaro, a costa rican drink that ive totalled over sixty shots of over the two weeks, no kidding. yeah so after realising that i couldnt really stand up for more that thirty seconds or so at a time this morning, i cut my losses and took the day off...vintage westminster sash you might say. me and a guy called graham were originally planning all night to go to sleep in the house we were building, because it would make an incredible story afterwards, and got as close as walking to it before realising how stupid it was and he passed out on the floor of my room instead. nice. as everywhere, theres a pretty comical assortment of people with me here, like a picknmix selection. i argued for an hour or so with a missionary hombre called eduardo whos house we are building about the existence of god after he was pissing me off by saying 'jesus is the way' to everyone...he didnt like my conclusion that God was a bit like super mario much, or my suggestion that I, in fact, made the universe. he was actually a pretty dodge guy - he spent half his time staring at us and repeating some random word over and over, or pointing to the black guy and calling him moreno, or mi negro, and then at me and saying blanco, and other such very astute observations...it was mainly to practice my espaņol anyway. we also had a bit of a crappy day when the little black mongrel puppy we named Kanga which was around the site got hit by a car, so i had to go pick him up and bury him behind the house...on the weekend we Jaco-ed it up big time, going down there with a pretty big group to party on the beach. the drinks were free for the girls all the time, for some illogical reason, so its safe to say we went to work on the guaro...some awful pool was played as a result, as well as some crazy dancing down the streets from bar to bar. we truly got it done. a blind girl called lucia had to come along with us, and there were some outrageous yet jocular incidents with her, peaking with two australian guys thinking she was passed out drunk and taking photos of her. tragic. on a similar topic, my flight over here from nicaragua was pretty damn mental when we got the slightest bit of turbulence, and the whole plane started praying to jesus and chanting. ok then... i had one eyebrow raised for about half and hour. a woman behind me was singing with her eyes closed and yeah, i just had to be next to the person that puked, didnt i? yep, all over herself. i didnt help by ripping the bottom out of my airsick bag by mistake either. upon arrival i also encountered a trio of rather unexpected peeps in the shape of theo, freddie and giblet...which freaked me out somewhat, not having seen them for like 8 months. should be meeting up after im done with my arduous labour after the weekend...chat soon, x S
