Have you heard the phrase "Queen for a Day?" Well, I felt like "Queen for a Weekend" in Ohio at George and Debby's house. Bill and I arrived Thursday night. We slept in Friday morning as Debby's continental breakfast hours are much more reasonable than those at Best Western. Then we headed to school to collect Ryan and Drew, who were the afternoon's entertainment. Drew (5) kept us busy and Ryan (6 months) kept us amused. The big kids--Brooke, Blaik, Andy, Lisette, and Cody joined us for dinner at a local sports bar, and it was fun to have the family together. Saturday, Debbie fixed a great BBQ for us, and George brought out lots of games for us to play. After dark, we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. Then, we repeated this again on Sunday, except we started earlier. That left just a little time for a trip to the driving range, where
Cody showed off his skills and George introduced me to hybrid golf clubs and drivers bigger and lighter than I've ever seen. Guess I've been away from golf too long. What a great way to spend the weekend.
