Where I stayed
We loved the biking experience so much here and we've seen several cities now where the local authority actively encourages bicycle, scooter and motorcycle use. And it works. We wanted to share 2 small examples of what it's like in a truly different city, where the car doesn't rule and the people do.
The waterfront video is a peaceful amble. The street one is a bit more speedy. In one minute it attempts to give an impression of about a 15 minute journey at a modest speed.
We read today that there's a move in the UK to reduce vehicle speed limits in parts of big cities to 20 mph (about 32 km/hr) to encourage people to ride in a less intimidating environment. Bring it on.

Consistently great work! You thought about getting someone to print the map of your European tour on t-shirts. A trip's not complete without the corresponding t-shirt! It would make a great conversation starter
You can buy Dutch-style bikes in Adelaide now. Just the ticket for ambling to the shops and back and also complete with mudguards
